What was the highlight of Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Kanda

Good value for a Tokyo trip

Good price and good location. The hotel is near the Kanda station and walking distance to Akihabara. You can hop on multiple JR and Tokyo Metro lines and get where you need to be in under an hour. The staff is helpful and friendly. Room is tiny but tidy and clean. Laundry service is convenient but there are just two pairs of washer/dryer so prepare to wait if multiple guests are trying to use them.

Beware if you have big luggage. I couldn't open my suitcases flat in the room... It's that tiny! It might be the weather (super humid in the summer) but I feel the bedding was constantly damp during my stay.

Conveniently located near station and 711. Quiet and nice.

Some of the staff were very helpful especially with the language barrier. Conveniently close to a 711 and the Kanda station which are 1 stop away from Tokyo and Akihabara.

For some reason, I wasn’t able to use any of my Visa/Amex Debit/Credit cards when buying a breakfast meal ticket at the self service station. We ended up getting something from 711 instead.

Nice hotel in nice area

Room was very clean, had everything we needed, staff was very nice, stored our lugage prior our check in and after our check out, 7-11 right next to the hotel

Rooms vere ridicolously small, we had 2 suitcases and couldnt open them at the same time????subway is not so near, also we didnt use daily cleaning because we couldnt imagine how would cleaning lady fit into our room with our 2 suitcases

The space was efficient and clean and had everything we needed. The location was close to the train station and tons of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Wonderful

The place is clean and they provide all the amenities that you'll need throughout your stay. (Love their shampoo and conditioner btw). It is beside a 7/11 for those early morning bfast and late night snacks cravings. There is also a nearby yamato delivery service (for luggage courier service) if you opt to have one. The location is quiet and less than 10min walk to the nearest train station (kanda station). Staff are friendly and nice. Easy check in and smooth self check out. Another good thing here is they have potable drinking water from the tap. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

They don't have big hotel rooms here in japan (unless you are probably staying on a high end, luxury hotel) which you'll have to pay heaps more. It is not the most comfortable. We have 2 big suitcases which still fits but a bit uncomfortable to move around. But we manage!

The room was small, but it was cozy and a pleasant stay

Friendly hotel personnel, helpful with check-in. Even though the room was small, there were many amenities in the room that they thought of. The bed was comfortable and large enough for 2 people. I loved the fact that they had so many amenities at the lobby that you could use, bath powder, toothbrush, face wash, hair mask, face mask, tea, razor and many more. It felt very welcoming.

The room was very small, which I knew when I booked it. So not suitable for people with a lot of luggage. It was not a problem for us.

Great location but small room

Excellent location, short walk to Kanda station and 15min walk to Akihabara. 7-eleven next to the hotel open 24/7. Very clean and quiet area, but there is a lively restaurant area at the station.

A bit small room for 2 persons.

Lovely place that is close to all you want!

-very close to a 7 eleven -5-10 minutes away from a subway station -friendly staff that helped with every question -the toilet was definitely a highlight

-the breakfast was the same every morning with very small changes that we had to pay for -the rooms were small

Wonderful

Excellent location, very close to train station and metro, and there's a 7-11 just next to it. The room was comfortable and the bed was bigger than I expected. Bathtub size was fine and was wonderful for recovering. The neighborhood was very quiet and very cozy. Staffs were also very friendly. Overall great hotel.

Clean room with all amenities, small as to be expected. Staff very friendly. Great location.

We travelled as a group of 3 and each had our own room as we stayed for 6 nights and heard space was a premium (which it was). The room was an adequate size for just me, I'd pref not share it for a long period but doable if you know you're going to be on top of each other. The staff were friendly and you can get most things you need from reception i.e. iron, tea/coffee and even bath salts. There is no view from the window but that didn't bother me as I was only in it to sleep. There was a loud air-con unit outside the window but I had ear plugs and was knackered by the end of the day from the activities. Room air-con worked fine after using Google Translate to work it. The location was great, not far from Kanda station (5mins walk) and short journey to Tokyo Station, very easy to get from the airport (Google Maps worked a charm). Really good base to travel around Tokyo and beyond (did Mt Takao, Kamakura, Enoshima and more). The restaurants in the area are very local and not particularly geared towards tourists but there are so many options, you can find something or eat at the stations or convenience stores (MANY in area) on your way home. I'd recommend going to Kanda Shrine, it's beautiful (we were lucky and caught a wedding ceremony).

The room was very dusty. Although the surfaces were clean, the light sockets and other nooks were coated in dust. As others have mentioned, the breakfast selection is minimal so we just bought convenience store food and put it in the room fridge. Also, the breakfast room closed quite early in the evening so after that, you have to eat food in your room. We did heat our food and eat in there once. Had no problem working the washing machine and dryer, was great to able to wash clothes before moving on at the end of the week.

Overall pleasant stay with a great location.

Location was great, staff were amazing, room utilities and lobby toiletries were nice. Fast check in and check out. Laundry was affordable.

Dryer takes multiple times to work. No view out window (opaque film covers windows).

Great location, great amenities but small rooms

The hotel is about 4-5 blocks from the Kanda (Tokyo) JR station from the south exit. There were tons of amenities in the lobby that you could pick up and use (face masks, bath salts, toothbrush/paste, hair gel, lotion, brushes, hair ties, cotton sets, etc). They also had extension cords, curling irons and a few other small appliances you could borrow while staying there. Staff were also happy to receive any packages if you wanted to order things online and get them shipped to you at the hotel. The staff always left new towels outside our room in a bag when we requested it without having them make up our room completely.

The rooms were very small, there was hardly any room to place your suitcases. There was no room between the two twin beds to walk between them - though in hindsight we could have move them a little apart but sacrifice some of the space for our luggage. The beds were a little on the hard side and our toilet at least had trouble flushing on the small flush setting (so we always used the big flush).
